Introduction
This blog is for a Connected Games module, and it's an online multiplayer game developed by 3 designers and (including myself) 2 programmers. Prior to deciding what it looked like, long discussions were among the individuals about the game as the programmers made the suggestion of having the game consist of up to 6-8 players, and one of the designers, Roland Thomas, came up with the vision of letting the game be about collaboration with gathering resources for things such as tools where one of the players plays the role of an overseer, and I came up with an art style for it to be low-poly. His inspirations came from the following games:
- Chinese Whisperers
- Satisfactory
- Dead of Winter
- And various zombie survival games
Designers:
- Roland Thomas – Gameplay Designer, Narrative, Scrum Master.
- Achitphon/Didi Rungchareonwikrai – UI Design, Internal Economy, Balancing, Game Design Document.
- Nana Baah (me) – Game's Logo Designer, 3D Character Modeller and Animator.
Programmers:
- Raghav Suriyashekar – Procedural Generation, Gameplay Mechanics and Systems.
- Marco Farace - Networking.
- Level Design concept
